Illustrative examples made by AI. Your pet’s portrait is made from your own photo, so it will be unique and may differ from these. We don’t have a Groodle example yet, so these are other dogs in the suggested styles: a golden retriever, a border collie, a whippet, and Charlie, who is a Cavoodle.
A portrait as big-hearted as your Groodle
Groodles (Golden Retriever and Poodle crosses, also called Goldendoodles) often bring the Golden’s easy-going warmth and the Poodle’s brains and bounce, usually wrapped in a big shaggy coat. No two coats are quite the same: cream, gold, apricot, red or even black, from loose waves to tight curls, and often changing as a puppy grows up. Draw Paw paints your Groodle from your own photo, so the portrait follows their coat, their colour and that goofy grin.
Big dogs, big styles
A Groodle’s size and presence suit the grand styles: Royal Highness, with a crown and velvet robe, is a fun contrast with a shaggy teddy-bear face. Soft Watercolour flatters cream and gold coats, Road Trip is made for the dog who’s first into the car, and the flowers of In Bloom suit a big softie.
Photo tips for Groodle coats
- Shaggy fringes hide eyes. Brush the fringe aside, or take the photo after a groom, so both eyes are visible.
- Cream and light-gold coats can look washed out in direct sun. Open shade or an overcast day keeps the detail.
- Crouch to their eye level rather than standing over a big dog, so the head doesn’t look small and the nose huge.
- Frame the head and shoulders. A whole-dog photo from across the yard leaves too few pixels for the face.
- A squeaky toy held just above the camera gets the head tilt and keeps them looking your way.
Any clear, well-lit phone photo works; see the photo FAQs for more.
Groodle portrait questions
My Groodle’s coat has changed colour since puppyhood. Which photo should I use?
Use the look you want on the wall. Many Groodle coats lighten or change texture as they grow up, so a recent photo shows them as they are now, while a puppy photo makes a sweet keepsake. Previews are free, so you can try both.
Will a big, shaggy coat come out as a blur?
Not if the photo is sharp and well lit. The AI uses the detail in your photo, so a clear photo of the face and coat gives the most texture. Some styles, such as Minimalist and Pop Art, simplify the coat on purpose.
Is it hand-painted?
No. Every portrait is made by AI from your photo, in the style you choose. That’s why you can see a free preview first, and why it’s ready to download straight after payment.
Do you deliver worldwide?
Yes, because there’s nothing to ship. Your portrait is an instant digital download, so you can order from anywhere and print it at a local photo lab, an online print service or at home. Prices show in your local currency where available.
