The photo marked “Real photo” is a real, unedited photo, shown with permission. The portraits are made by AI. Your pet’s portrait is made from your own photo, so it will be unique and may differ from these. Charlie is a real Cavoodle; the portraits of Charlie were made by Draw Paw from the real photo. The Beach Day example is a different dog.
Painting a Cavoodle
Cavoodles are everywhere in Australian backyards, cafés and dog parks, and it’s easy to see why: big round eyes, a teddy-bear face and a coat that’s different on every dog. Some are tight-curled like a Poodle, some wavy, some almost straight like a Cavalier, in apricot, red, chocolate, black, cream or a mix. A Draw Paw portrait is made by AI from your own photo, so it follows your dog’s coat and colouring rather than a generic Cavoodle drawing.
Meet Charlie
Charlie, the apricot Cavoodle who models for Draw Paw, is the dog in the photos on this page: the real sofa snap, and the portraits Draw Paw made from it. That fluffy outline is lovely in gentle styles: Soft Watercolour turns apricot and red coats into warm washes, Signature Name adds the name in script, and Royal Highness gives a teddy-bear face a crown. For the clown of the family, Beach Day shows off the personality. Groomed or scruffy, pick the photo that looks most like the dog you know.
Photo tips for Cavoodle coats
- Photograph in soft, even daylight. Curly apricot and cream coats lose their texture in harsh sun or a camera flash.
- Make sure the eyes are visible. If the fringe covers them, a brush or a trim before the photo helps the AI find the face.
- Chocolate and black Cavoodles need more light: put a bright window beside them, not behind them, so the face doesn’t turn into a dark shape.
- Get down to their eye level and fill the frame with the face and fluffy ears.
- A plain background, such as a wall or a rug, stops the curls blending into a busy cushion.
Any clear, well-lit phone photo works; see the photo FAQs for more.
Cavoodle portrait questions
Will the portrait keep my Cavoodle’s curls?
The AI works from your photo, so a clear, sharp photo of the coat gives the most faithful texture. Curls are sometimes simplified or softened, depending on the style. Check the free preview, and try another photo or style if it doesn’t look like them.
My Cavoodle has just been clipped. Which photo should I use?
Use whichever look you want to remember. A fresh clip shows the face and eyes clearly, which helps; a fluffy-coat photo gives more of that teddy-bear look. Previews are free, so you can make one from each and compare.
Can you make a portrait of a Cavoodle puppy?
Yes. Puppies work well as long as the photo is sharp, which can be tricky with a wriggler: take a burst of photos when they’re sleepy and pick the clearest.
Do you deliver worldwide?
Yes, because there’s nothing to ship. Your portrait is an instant digital download, so you can order from anywhere and print it at a local photo lab, an online print service or at home. Prices show in your local currency where available.
