The artwork you approved, without the preview watermark, as digital files (nothing is printed or posted). One pet per portrait. Digital: one print-ready 3072 × 4608 px JPEG (2:3), with the name if you added one, plus a smaller copy for sharing online (1024 × 1536 px). Bundle: the same portrait in more layouts: everything in Digital, plus ready-to-print 8 × 10 in (3686 × 4608 px) and A4/A3 (3258 × 4608 px) versions, a 9:16 phone wallpaper (1440 × 2560 px), a version without the name (if you added one) and a ZIP of everything. The Bundle doesn't add more pets, styles or prints. The version without the name is an AI edit of your portrait, so small details may differ. Download and save your files within 35 days.

The print-ready file is 3072 × 4608 px. It's made by enlarging your approved 1024 × 1536 px artwork three times with an image upscaler, so it's the same artwork, not a new one. It's sharp at A4 or 8 × 12 in, and we recommend A3 or 12 × 18 in as the largest size, viewed from a normal distance. Enlarging doesn't add new detail, so up close big prints look soft and painterly. The Bundle's 8 × 10 and A4 versions add a soft border made from the artwork itself, so your pet isn't cropped to fit those frames. See our printing guide.

Digital is US$15 and the Bundle is US$22 per portrait (USD), so the Bundle is US$7 more. Every style is the same price. Prices are shown in your local currency where we offer one (otherwise US dollars), include any applicable taxes, and you can change currency next to the price. Previews are free: you only pay if you buy. Digital files only; printing not included.

A preview usually takes about 15 to 25 seconds (occasionally up to a minute). Your approved portrait is available right after payment on the confirmation page; extra Bundle versions may take a few minutes. We email your download links, and you can also find them later at Find my order using your checkout email. Please download and save your files within 35 days of purchase.

You see a smaller, watermarked preview of the actual artwork. If you buy, your main file is that same artwork, enlarged and without the watermark, not a newly generated picture. (In the Bundle, the version without the name is an AI edit, so small details may differ.) Previews are free: up to 5 a day on each device, and you can switch style or try again without uploading your photo again. Unpaid previews expire after about a day.

While we're launching, there's a limit on how many previews we make across the whole site each day. If we reach it, no preview is made and none of your free previews is used. You can leave your email and we'll send you one email when previews reopen (usually the next day); offers are a separate, optional tick.

Use a sharp, well-lit photo where their face is clear and fills much of the frame, ideally taken at their eye level. One pet per portrait: choose a photo where they're the star, and crop out people where you can. JPG, PNG or WebP (HEIC works if your browser can open it; otherwise export the photo as a JPEG), at least 320 px on each side. Large photos are resized in your browser before upload (files up to 25 MB).

Any real animal is welcome: dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets, birds, horses, lizards and other reptiles, and more. Each portrait paints one pet: if your photo shows two or more, we paint the main one, so for a pair, make a preview of each.

Yes, two ways. If you'd like them to upload their own pet and choose the style, send a gift voucher (see the next question). If you have a photo of their pet, make the portrait yourself and gift it on the day you pick: at checkout, turn on It's a gift: add their first name, your first name and an optional message, and choose the delivery day (today, or up to 90 days ahead). If you add their email, we send them a link to unwrap the portrait at about 7:15am on that day, in your time zone. Or leave it empty and forward the gift link or print the gift card from your receipt yourself. The gift page shows the portrait and its files only, with no price, receipt, email address or discount codes. Gift files are kept for 35 days after the delivery day, so ask them to save the files soon.

Yes. With a Draw Paw gift voucher, they upload their own pet and choose the style. It covers one Digital or Bundle portrait in any style, at the normal price. Add their name and an optional message, then choose whether we email it to them straight after payment or on the day you pick (at about 7:15am, up to 90 days ahead) or send it to you to print or pass on. They upload a photo, try the styles with free previews and enter the code at checkout, so they don't pay anything. Vouchers are valid for 3 years, can be used once and have no cash value.

We only paint pets and other animals. Please crop out people, especially children, where you can. If someone is still in the shot (say, a hand holding your pet), we paint only the pet, but the whole photo is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to make the artwork, so only use it if they're happy with that. Before a preview is made, an automated AI check confirms the photo shows a real animal; photos without one, including people-only photos, drawings and toys, are declined and don't use up a free preview.

Yes, every portrait is created by AI (our provider is OpenAI) from your photo in the style you choose. AI can change details such as markings or proportions, so check your preview carefully before you buy.

We don't store your uploaded photo: it's sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to create the artwork. Unpaid artwork is deleted automatically after about 24 to 48 hours, and purchased files 35 days after purchase (we email you a reminder a week before). See our Privacy Policy for details.

Faulty file, wrong artwork or missing delivery? Free fix or refund. If your portrait is faulty, isn't what you previewed or wasn't delivered, we'll fix it for free or refund you. Because you see a preview first, we don't generally refund a change of mind after downloading. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other consumer laws aren't affected. Yes. Print it on photo paper at home, or send the file to any local print shop or online photo lab. We don't print or ship products ourselves. Our printing guide covers sizes, paper and framing, and the Inspiration gallery has framing ideas.

Your portrait is for personal, non-commercial use, such as prints for your home, gifts and personal social media. Selling it or using it to promote a business isn't included: email hello@draw-paw.com to ask about commercial use. See our Terms.
